Cleanse the Toxins: Help Promote Weight Loss

oranges, health blog
The amount of diet programs, diet pills, exercise plans, and other weight loss plans, that are in the market is tremendous. Too many choices, how can you know which is the right one? Each person is different, and each diet will produce different results. When it comes to weight loss, no matter what diet adventure you begin, if you do not do your homework you will not be prepared to maintain that lifestyle. Essentially, that is what a diet/weight loss program has to be, a lifestyle.

Not all diet programs tell you to cleanse, but a cleanse is highly beneficial in weight loss, and total body change. If you do not get rid of the excess toxins, that flourish in fat cells, you will have a hard time losing fat, and keeping it off.

This is a natural way to get you metabolism going, and to start losing that excess weight, and to have over health and wellness. See a health care professional before starting any diet/cleanse program.

1) Do a colon cleanse.
2) Do a candida cleanse. Yeast overgrowth is most common in the intestine, but can affect your entire body. This overgrowth can be the cause of headaches, bloating, allergies, yeast infections, dandruff, acne, fatigue, depression, stress, and the inability to lose weight. (Eliminate sugar, and take a pro biotic to get started)
3) Try a full body fat/lymphatic cleanse.
4) Drink 8 full glasses of pure water a day. (Filtered water only, tap water contains chlorine which can scar your arteries).
5) Use a mini trampoline 10 minutes a day. Provides great exercise, and stimulates all major organs and glands.
6) Walk for 1 hour a day.
7) Stretch.
8)Practice deep breathing.
9)Use a dry sauna. It is a natural way to eliminate toxins.
10)Exfoliate the skin with a dry brush massage.
11) Get a Swedish or deep tissue massage regularly.
12) Fast: try a 7 to 30 day fast.
13) Do not eat over processed foods.
14) Get all metal out of your dental work.
15) Stop smoking.
16) Eliminate fake sugars (aspartame, Splenda) and MSG
17) Do not drink diet sodas.
18) Do not eat high fructose corn syrup. HFC is not like real sugar, and it is no healthy at all, if you do not want to eliminate it, try to cut way back.
19) Eat organic as much as you can, what ever you can afford. Buying 100% organic is expensive, but if you can try to swap out some regular for organic once in a while, and it can be a great health benefit.
20) Do not eat late. Eat all meals by 7 PM.

Some of these options may seem hard to do, but the easy ones, like drink 8 glasses of filtered water, and walk an hour a day are very do-able. So take small steps, and try to cleanse your body, and promote weight loss.

This is not intended to cure/prevent any disease. See a doctor for any health concerns. As always see a health professional before you start a diet/cleanse program.

Top Beach Body Tips

Summer is coming. Are you ready for the beach? Be the biggest loser in your home and drop that unwanted weight. No need to be drastic, or try a new diet. Start with these simple changes. It may be tough at first. I recommend asking a friend or loved one to partner with you, together you can conquer weight loss, and work on your goals.

Beach Body by June

Every one's idea of a great beach body may be different, whether you want to wear that hot new bikini, or a sexy one piece, your dieting because you want to feel and look good. Take these steps through the rest of spring, and you'll be exercising and eating your way through summer, happily.

  1. Set a goal weight and date. How much do you want to lose, and by when? Make it flexible, and achievable(if it's too unrealistic, then how can you do it?).
  2. Pick out the bathing suit you want to wear. Having the suit you want to fit into can be great motivation.
  3. Cut out the carbs now! Start eliminating sugar from your diet little, by little. We all know sugar from foods like cakes, cookies, candy, and chips, all add to our waist line, so start cutting back now!
  4. Eat foods that are filling, and healthy, so you're not feeling starved. I.e: Apples, pine nuts, salad, beans, olive oil, flax seed, oatmeal, whey protein, and spicy foods. *Eat 5 small meals a day will keep you satisfied.
  5. Exercise. You must exercise at least 5 times a week, depending on your calorie intake.

Remember: Eat Less and Exercise. Avoid junk foods(or food that make you more hungry). Limit alcohol intake.

Healthy Aging

It seems as if time as flown by, I'm showing signs of aging, and looking back at pictures of myself from only 4 years ago, I am noticeably older.

Instead of dwelling on my flaws, weight gain, acne scars, furrow between my brows, etc. I am going to focus on keeping my self healthy from now on.

It is shown that people are living longer for a number of reasons:
  • they remain socially active
  • they adapt well to change
  • they rebound from bad situations
  • they rely less on medication than there less-healthy peers
  • they view themselves positively
  • they have frequent contact with friends and family

Along with exercise and a well balanced diet, you can help the signs of aging. Sugar ages your skin, so avoid over indulging. Smoking, and alcohol can also make you look older, and make for unhealthy insides.

There are hundreds of anti aging creams in the market, but beware, they won't work! Plastic surgery is really the only way to reverse wrinkles, sun damage, etc. The key is to take care of your skin as early as possible. Use sun screen every day, with a SPF of at least 15. Wear broad rimmed sunglasses that block UVA and UVB (at least 95%), and wear a hat to protect your head.

Live longer and age less tips:

Eat tomatoes and cantaloupe, both contain nutrients that protect the skin from sun damage.

Eat less. America's portion size is way too big. Use a 9-inch plate at meals, instead of the usual 11 or 13-inch.

Eat Fiber.

Drink green tea.

Take a Vitamin C supplement, for best results combine with Vitamin E. (400mg of Vitamin C, 400 IU of Vitamin E)

Laugh more! Laughing reduces stress.

Benefits of Cranberry Juice

Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) have multiple health benefits. One most commonly known is for the prevention or cure of urinary tract infections. But it doesn't stop there.

The tart flavor of cranberries is also used in stimulating taste buds in people with a loss of appetite.

Research has also shown that cranberries may also prevent plaque from developing on teeth and gum disease.

Cranberries are loaded with antioxidants and may thus help prevent cancer, heart disease, and stroke. Cranberry may also inhibit the growth of urinary tract bacteria that have been implicated in the cause of rheumatoid arthritis.

Recent studies show that cranberry juice may help it weight loss, and reduce bloating, because it is a diuretic.

The Juice:

Buy 100% cranberry juice to reap the full benefit. It is very strong, so you can dilute it; half water, half juice.

Homemade Cranberry Sauce (It's not just for Thanksgiving)

Ingredients:
4 cups fresh cranberries
3/4 cup apple juice
2 ripe pears
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 teaspoon stevia (all natural sweetener)

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium size saucepan, bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Chill sauce completely before serving.
